Asparagus specialities

There are many and different reasons why you should pamper yourself with a wonderful holiday in South Tyrol. Indeed, this region is worth a visit all year round. You will enjoy endless hiking in summer, wonderful snow-covered slopes in winter and get overwhelmed by unforgettable landscapes and mountain peaks.

In spring however, there is one more reason to visit South Tyrol. It is a rather gastronomical argument and it concerns the asparagus, the so called "king of vegetables". Spring in South Tyrol is, in fact, generally known as asparagus time. This is why, from about the end of March to the middle of May, at Hotel Rotwand in Pineta di Laives, we use to spoil our guests with delicious asparagus dishes.

Our menu features both traditional dishes such as our "white asparagus with brown butter and "Boznersauce"" as well as special creations as our "brown bread dumplings with asparagus ragout".
